WHO WE ARE
We are a group of enthusiastic graduate students, postdoctoral researchers & other early career scientists dedicated to raising awareness and educating the public on polar and alpine science. APECS Belgium was initially founded in 2007 and has been growing ever since. Today we count 20 motivated people, constituting a dynamic and passionate team. Although our members form the driving force of our association, we consider every polar early career scientist in Belgium as part of our team!

We are committed to creating a community of students, researchers and educators sharing a common passion. To do so, we organize outreach, education & networking events. We believe that the more we are, the more we can achieve - so don't hesitate and subscribe now!
At APECS Belgium, most of our members are researchers and our purpose is to communicate polar scientific research to the public in a simple and accessible way. We believe that it is only by understanding these remote and fragile environments that we will be able to protect them effectively.
To this aim, our team is very active at various levels: sharing our science to the general public through conferences and workshops, exhibits at museums, visiting schools, etc. We also try to share useful resources & educational tools that we develop ourselves or find on other websites so that you can always keep learning!
