About The Event
Last month, we published a blog by Aurian Merlin Cerise, a Brussels-born polar explorer, about his call for scientific partnership for an upcoming expedition in Spring 2024 to cross Greenland. But also about his previous expedition to Svalbard in total autonomy. This is your chance to watch the documentary that was produced, and have a chat at the end with Aurian about both expeditions!
Two important points:
(1) The movie will be in French with English subtitles
(2) Please make sure to add "(APECS)" after your name at registration!

"We are delighted to invite you to our special event to be held on Wednesday 13 December 2023 at "The Faculty" business centre in Anderlecht, with the invaluable support of the Anderlecht commune. This event is the product of our passion for exploring the polar regions and our commitment to the fight against climate change.
During the evening, we will have the honour of showing a captivating film about our previous expedition: "80 Degrés Nord". This film tells the story of a 22-day polar expedition on the island of Svalbard, in total autonomy, and talks about our adventure as well as the impact of global warming on the island of Svalbard. It will also be an opportunity to tell you about our next adventure. In April and May 2024, we will be undertaking our next expedition, crossing Greenland from West to East over a 35-day period.
We will be accompanied by members of the scientific community, our current partners, political personalities and athletes. As well as showing the film, this event is a chance to meet up and share ideas.
We would be honoured to have you with us, as someone who shares our passion for preserving our planet and its polar regions. We look forward to sharing this unforgettable experience with you and to strengthening our collaboration in this exciting quest. Thanks to you, we can make a difference.
