I am a PhD Student at Université Libre de Bruxelles. During my Master’s thesis, I investigated ice fabrics on an Antarctic ice rise and their correlation with radar reflectors and physicochemical properties of the ice. Currently I am working on Greenland basal ice, the layer at the bottom of the ice sheet that closely interacts with the bedrock. Through a multi-parametric analysis of the ice cores (with a sprinkle of analytical development!), my aim is to learn more about the biogeochemistry of subglacial environments, the past stability of the ice sheet and the processes that interfere with the paleoclimatic signal conservation.
